I don't have a bad back....I have an evil back. Spinal stenosis, herniated and bulging discs, tons of pain. I put these shoes on, and no pain and I can WALK! My problems are so severe that I walk with a cane and even have a wheelchair for longer distances. MBT are truly a miracle shoe for me. I also have a pair of Skechers Shape Ups and they feel great too, nice and "cushy", and they definitely help me walk too, but MBTs are just a little better. GOD BLESS MBT!! And PLEASE make some dressier, "girlier" shoes so I won't look like such a dork when I'm wearing a nice silk Diane Von Furstenburg wrap dress and my MBTs! ;-D But comfort before fashion. Wow...did I just say that??? And a narrow width would be appreciated, too.

Ok I have to say...., as ALWAYS...ROCKS beyond my expectations! We are talking about year after year, and from the buzz around town....I am not alone. But I digress. So, been wearing MBT's for a few years and LOVE them. really needed new ones and was concerned with all the PR Hype that they were no longer the front runner in the Masai Technology. Here's the scoop: The newer versions aren't watered down....they are PUMPED UP! I had no idea! They are so comfortable with so much arch support and I am BLOWN away.

Love my MBTs! Have some back problems, am on my feet all day, and I wanted a pair of MBT's to be able to wear to work. I am pleased with my choice. Zappos is the greatest place to shop. It is so easy!!! Just order and usually in 2 days your shoes are delivered. Returns are easy too.

I bought this shoe, because after trying it out, it was worth the price tag. I generally try to avoid buying Chinese made products, but since my work requires a great deal of indoor walking, I needed this shoe. It performs great, it does what it was designed to do, BUT the fit & finish is pretty bad. I have & have owned many pairs of shoes, and this is the first one that has costed SO much & lasted so little. I've owned them since 05/09 & now 8 months later they literally look like I've had them for years..... My point is that, they DON'T hold up well. I am satisfied with the feel, but the quality of the materials used, just isn't there.... My other work shoe pair is a dressy loafer which I've had for nearly 5 years (the MBT was supposed to replace it), made in Brazil...& after 5 years they look better than my MBT. Ultimately, I like how the shoe feels, but I'm not sure that I want to drop that much money once a year and throw these out...

The MBT Fora is the 3rd pair of MBTs I have owned. I am usually a size 7.5 and my MBT Klima boots are an 8.5 and my MBT Chapas (which I am now going to toss in favor of my Foras)are an 8. I wear the Klimas in the winter and they are perfect for long walks with my dog. Over time, I have come to realize that the Chapas are too small and I should have bought them in an 8.5. My toes slam against the end of the shoe and by the time I really examined that, it was too late to return them. I have worn the Chapas in the past 2 springs/summers and they are not very breathable. For serious walkers, this makes for very sweaty feet. Now on to the Foras. I LOVE THEM! I bought them in black, size 8.5 and they are perfect. The body of the shoe is entirely mesh so I am hoping in the summer, there will be more breathability than the heavier Chapas.
